“Soft skills” are developed by playing video games. Useful transversal skills such as decision-making, emotional intelligence or negotiation skills are fundamental in a world where knowing how to adapt quickly to new situations becomes a fundamental requirement.
For instance, action-adventure games surely help developing some specific Soft Skills:
1.Creativity. The ability to contribute unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation and to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
2.Logical reasoning. The ability to combine information to establish general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship between seemingly unrelated events) and/or to apply general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers
3.Intuition. Ability to discover the underlying characteristic (e.g. rule, concept, principle, process, tendency, class membership) that underlies a specific problem or set of observations, or to apply a previously learned rule to a problem . Reasoning from specific cases or observations to general rules or broad generalizations.
4.Communication. The ability to speak in real-life situations (e.g. conferences, participating in groups) in a way that conveys ideas, thoughts or feelings to one or more individuals.
5.Solving complex problems. Developed skills used to solve new and ill-defined problems in complex real-world circumstances.
